Nanex ~ Flash Crash Poster Printout

Sent in by Al Kalian, a reader.

Download one of the following files that are formatted to print the image at the top of this page, on 4, 9, or 16 separate 8.5 x 11 sheets of paper that can be assembled as a poster.

The margins between each element is exactly 1/2" and if you are very careful when you trim, the papers will line up so close you won't be able to see the individual pages. Or you can trim one edge, and overlap the other edge. I would suggest that you first lay out all of the images, and then mark the margins to be trimmed. If you don't, I guarantee you will trim at least one of them wrong.

It will take some fiddling to get it right, so you might want to experiment on a laser printer before you spend the time and money using your color inkjet. It's difficult to measure with a ruler, and I've found that it works best to have one of those see through rulers, so you can line up the edge of the paper and then look through the ruler to match up the 1/2" marks.

You only need to cut the images where they butt up, not the outside margins, as shown in the image below. If you don't want to go through all this hassle, you can always take the image to your local Kinkos and pay to have them print it out whatever size you want.
